What is a meadow style garden? A meadow garden features mostly native species in an informal, meadow-like design. Paths lead through beautiful stands of pink or white cone-flowers, which are beloved pollinators. Mixed in with plants such as electric fuscia bee balm, fragrant purple lavender and feathery Russian sage. Paired with a rich matrix of other colorful plants, wild flowers, grasses and creeping ground covers. A wide variety of bulbs for spring and fall, perennials, annuals and flowering grasses in successive waves of color throughout the seasons. Dense diverse planting like this is gorgeous and give few chances for weeds to germinate, keeping the land lower maintenance once it is established.
